Overview

Darryl is developing a broad practice in commercial litigation and arbitration. He has represented and advised clients in a diverse range of matters, including international arbitration, arbitration-related court proceedings, shareholders’ disputes, civil disputes involving claims for breaches of contract and confidence, as well as criminal matters.

Darryl was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2023. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University in 2022 and was placed on the Dean’s List numerous times throughout his academic years. Darryl also represented the university in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where Darryl’s team was a world championship finalist and won multiple memorial prizes.

Notable Cases

  • Representing a sovereign wealth fund in a US$200 million SIAC arbitration claim against Singaporean and Indian entities arising out of an ISDA Master Agreement.
  • Representing a logistics company in relation to a US$19 million SIAC arbitration claim against Chinese entities arising out of a supply framework agreement, involving contractual and breach of confidence claims.
  • Representing shareholders of a holding company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands concerning claims in the British Virgin Islands for minority oppression.
  • Representing a manufacturing company in respect of criminal charges brought under the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006 relating to a fatal workplace accident.
