Representative Experience
Commercial Arbitrations
Representing two Cayman Islands-based funds in a dispute with its joint venture partner in respect of the sale of an auto parts manufacturer valued in excess of US$110 million.
Representing a public listed company in four DIAC arbitrations involving an amount in excess of S$100 million for breaches of several construction related contracts governed by UAE Law.
Representing a private equity fund in the enforcement of an SIAC Arbitral Award in excess of US$70 million involving assets in multiple jurisdictions.
Representing an insurer in two SIAC arbitrations involving a major Singapore based bank. The dispute arises from claims for indemnities under trade credit insurance policies involving a sum in excess of US$60 million.
Representing an Indonesian palm oil conglomerate in two related SIAC arbitrations in relation to breaches of a sale and purchase agreement and a deed of undertaking involving an amount of approximately US$57 million. The dispute was in relation to the sale and purchase of several palm oil plantations in Indonesia and inter alia involved expert evidence on Indonesian laws and procedures.
Representing an investment fund in three related SIAC arbitrations involving an Indonesian restaurant chain. The disputes involved a total sum of more than US$50 million and involved issues Singapore law and Indonesian law, and the legality of various transactional documents.
Representing a Japanese private equity fund in consolidated international arbitration proceedings involving claims totalling approx. US$45 million arising in relation to an investment in the food and beverage industry.
Representing a global technology and e-commerce platform in a SIAC arbitration involving a multinational electronics supplier. The dispute is in excess of US$25 million and pertains to amounts due for goods marketed and supplied on the e-commerce platform.
Representing an Indian Steel Conglomerate against a Nigerian company in a SIAC arbitration involving an amount in excess of US$20 million for breach of a memorandum of understanding in relation to the supply of raw materials / consulting services.
Representing a subsidiary of a public listed Indonesian coal mining conglomerate in a SIAC arbitration. The dispute relates to breaches of a supply agreement involving a sum in excess of US$17 million and involved a successful application to challenge the jurisdiction of the Tribunal to hear the matter for non-compliance with a multi-tiered arbitration clause.
Representing an investment holding company in an ICC arbitration involving an amount in excess of €18 million for breach of a share purchase agreement governed by Singapore Law.
Representing a leading tech company in defending claims totalling approx. $13.5 million brought in relation to its online marketplace business.

Representing a foreign investment fund in a SIAC arbitration involving breaches of a service agreement governed by Mauritian Law in a successful application to the High Court to remove an arbitrator.
